Blue Hour

Why does a blue screen appear when playing the sims 2?

After about 45minutes to an hour a blue screen cuts in whilst playing on the sims 2. It happens for a couple of minutes then resumes back to the game. It's not the sort of blue screen you would expect to see when you have an error or when your computer crashes; I wondered if anyone could help and give me some reasons for why this is happening, or any suggestions on how I can stop it. Thank you.

Oh, I have that problem when playing on my computers, too. They are older XPs with no service packs (as far as I know). It's because you don't have enough memory or some other system requirement for the game to run 100% smoothly. But usually, it comes back on it's own in a minute or two. Like someone else said, run the defragmenter on your computer, and maybe delete some unneeded things from your computer that takes up space. Trust me, deleting 10 Word documents or 10 songs or something REALLY makes a difference when playing the Sims 2! Sometimes my game stops and says that "Windows does not have sufficient memory to process your request" with a yellow warning sign. Then I have to wait for a while to play the game again. The blue screen is much better than that!

Hope this helps! 🙂
