All you GM's out there...?

If you were GM of your favorite team, who would you go after this season. Be realistic, if you're the Pirates, no way are you going after A-Rod. I am curious what others think out there. I'm an Indians fan, and I'd like to see the Indians go after Francisco Cordero and add Bonds to play left and dh when Hafner needs a day off, or when Garko needs a day off you can put Hafner at first. Lets hear your thoughts.

being a Giants fan, this what I would do:

I would stay away from A-Rod. Since, there is little talent in the farm system (out of 84 players on Baseball America's six minor league All-Star teams one was a Giant), I would start by trading Fred Lewis, Scott Munter, Dan Ortmeier, Pat Misch and Noah Lowry to Florida for Miguel Cabrera. Since I need another big bat, I would go after Geoff Jenkins. Then I would look at Torii Hunter or Corey Patterson for the outfield. I think that Patterson could be cheaper and is younger. Then I would sign Troy Percival for the bullpen. He may not be what he once was, but I feel better with him. Also, I would sign Kerry Wood (he will be cheap) and hopefully catch lightening in a bottle with him. Here is my dream (or somebody else's nightmare) 25-man roster to begin the 08 season:

Starting Pitching:

1. Matt Cain
2. Tim Lincecum
3. Barry Zito
4. Kevin Correia
5. Jonathan Sanchez

Bullpen:

Vinnie Chulk
Troy Percival
Brian Wilson
Steve Kline
Kerry Wood
Troy Percival

Batting Order

1. Corey Patterson-cf
2. Kevin Frandsen -2B
3. Miguel Cabrera-3B
4. Geoff Jenkins-1B
5. Bengie Molina
6. Randy Winn-RF
7. Nate Schierholtz-LF
8. Omar Vizquel-SS

Bench:

Rich Aurilia (stuck with him, because of his contract)
Ray Durham (the same)
Dave Roberts (three in a row with bad contracts)
Rajai Davis
Eliezer Alfonzo
Eugenio Velez (or Tommy Everidge (Rule V pick))

That is what I would try to do if I was the Giants GM
