Venetian GlassArt Installation as part of Italian Week 2011, Australia

Murano Glass Australia

Visiting Venice for three days in September 2012 with my twelve year old son what should we see or do?

My son likes history and geography more than sport but he can get very bored visiting a lot of churches and museums. How can we have fun together? We are from Australia visiting Italy and Europe for the first time!

There is so much to do - the essentials you really must see are these http://www.venice-italy-veneto.com/venice-italy.html

The ghost tours are great to do as well and might well appeal to a twelve year old. You can find out more at http://www.venice-italy-veneto.com/tours-of-venice-italy.html

A boat trip down the Grand Canal is another must and go to see the glass blowing in Murano too.

If you have the time maybe spend a day on the beach http://www.venice-italy-veneto.com/venice-italy-beach.html

My son is nine and absolutely loves Venice.
